...

Finally received this one today, and if you've
already bought "Music Has The Right To Children",
then your not missing too much of the BoC sound.
But read on anyway, you won't be disappointed with
this release...

1. Aquarius (Version 3)
[Almost] A replica of the original with some added
chords and voices spinning in the background.
Still has the "Orange" sound byte, as well as that
woman counting between the beats. The ending is just
a little different, not as harsh and abrasive as the album
version. An interesting version with subtle differences,
and an overall soothing effect.

2. Happy Cycling
This tune is one of the reason's you should go out and buy
this three track Peel Session. Sweet drum-pattern, a peaceful
bassline, birds singing in the background, and smooth melodies
snapping in the foreground. A masterpiece of purely intelligent
electronics at its finest. How else can i explain this mind drenching
plethora of wonderful sounds?

3. Olson (Version 3)
I've got mixed feelings about this one. Tack an extra minute
to the original, with a slower pace, and you've got Version
3, well not exactly. If you enjoy relaxing to chilling atmospheric
ambient music, then this one will put you out in seconds. Much
different then the original, with sub-surface effects and minor
extractions from the original chords. An invisible tune if you keep
your eyes open; A clear melody if played with an open mind.

[Remember, that the same people who would stop you from listening
to Boards Of Canada may be back next year to complain about a
book, or even a tv program. If you can be told what you can see or
read, then it follows that you can be told what to say or think]

"Order in CANADA!"

Pietro.
