Tosca is the solo incarnation of Richard Dorfmeister of Kruder and Dorfmeister fame, and while I constantly see the two of them reffered to as a dub or drum and bass crew, they are much much deeper than that, and though I detest using the term as much as the artists its applied to, I would have to call their sound 'triphop'. The "Fuck Dub" single is actually a collection of "remixes" that humorously have absolutely nothing to do with each other (as far as I can hear). There is a full-length that I'm having trouble locating entitled "Opera", and I'm dying to find out if there actually IS a song on it called "Fuck Dub" or if this is some sort of prank/statement regarding the single market. clockwise np: Goldie featuring KRS-ONE "Digital" (waaaay too predictable, but far better than his duet with Puff Daddy) At 11:32 AM 11/25/97 +0200, Irene McC wrote: >On 23 Nov 97, clockwise wrote: Re: (idm) CDS & EP time limits: > >> Tosca "Fuck Dub" 'single' is actually longer than most full-length > >I must say I found it highly amusing that somebody called "CLOCKWISE" >would respond to a "time limits" query :-)) > >What can you tell me about Fuck Dub? *Is* it dubby - or not?
