I'd kill my grandmother to take that Jazz Improvisation class from him! Aside from JJ Johnson, George Lewis is the mightiest trombonist on the face of the earth (and that's not even counting all of the electronic stuff that he does... For those of you who don't know, he wrote software for the Atari ST that reacts to his improvisations, and then he reacts to what it plays back at him, and so on, it's pretty neato.) check out the records he did John Zorn and Bill Frisell ('News for Lulu' and 'More News for Lulu') which are absolutely mind blowing... that guy can get so much air through his horn it's rediculous, and he plays faster than JJ. Well, I didn't think I wanted to go back to school, but now I think I might have to change my mind :) .Bil. ich|bin|ein|kopieier
