I doubt the OB-MX ever implemented patch editing over MIDI. I know that it does not send or receive front panel control manipulations. The OB-MX was not a finished product and the firmware contained subroutines that were developed but never tested. In fact the developer says the released product contained beta firmware that still has debug code active that slows down some functions like the LFO.
