I picked up Jake Mandell's "Midwest EP" yesterday and I'm enjoying it. The closest, while still distant, comparison I can offer is to Hab's "Mapod" which I also enjoy. "Midwest" interests itself more in beats though, in the same way that some of LP5 interests itself in beats. You may vary, but I'm a fan of all things MaS and Markant and I like this disc. Two questions: Can anyone give me information about the packaging? It's a color copy of a piece of fabric with a smaller piece of that fabric glued to it. Any story behind this? It's also hand numbered. Mine, purchased at Other Music, is "6/300" so maybe there are still some single-digit copies down on E4th. Can anyone tell me what the other Lucky Kitchen release (LK001 suetsu & underwood find the hits (and then use them) feb '98) is like and how available it is? Thanks, Danny. ---------------------------------- Danny Wyatt xxxxx@xxxxxxxxx.xxx http://www.arbitrary.com
