Man, it is a weird experience to go shopping for music that you hate instead
of love...but turning something that disturbs you into something that you
enjoy...it's a powerful feeling.

Still, when I plunked down a stack of execrable old vinyl (99 cents each) at
a local store, I really wanted to say: "No, honestly, I'm *not* buying this
Kenny G record because I like it, I promise! Quite the opposite!" But I
held my tongue.

So here's some of the stuff I bought...I'm not going to reveal the tracks
that I actually sampled, as that would take the fun out of guessing.

Warning: do not view this list if you are pregnant, or if you have a heart
condition.

Journey, "Escape" (possibly my most vilified record ever)
Monster Ballads compilation (maybe you've winced your way through the TV
commercial)
Kenny G, "Silhouette" (warning: best to not eat lunch before looking at this
album cover)
Kenny G, "Duotones" (see above)
REO Speedwagon Live (you know, I didn't hate this quite as much as I hoped I
would. Some moments kinda rock out in a cheezoid seventies boogie type way)

<< and i'm just curious to find out how those who are working on the project
 already are doing.. >>

I've created sketches of two short tracks so far...one is quite ambient,
another is psychedelic funk-ish.
