try *any* roland manual for interesting variations on the english
language. the manual for the 202 especially sticks out in my mind as
having interesting takes one the words "preset" and "random". yamaha
manuals always come across as especially eloquent and flowery (but with an
instrument like the VL-1, who's surprised?).
