hi all,

thought you might be interested to know the
new Jockey Slut magazine in the UK is out
(and has been for a while, probably), and
includes a pretty cool 4-page 'Warp Is Ten'
set of interviews with Aphex, Nightmares On
Wax, Two Lone Swordsmen, Squarepusher,
Autechre, Broadcast, Plaid, Red Snapper,
Boards Of Canada, LFO, and Steve Beckett.
Didn't see anyone else mention it.

Interesting stuff in there? Lots, but apparently
Warp are moving to London (something I didn't
know), Aphex says his new stuff will be 'out
in about 5 years time, if at all' and the only other
thing that might come out is 'a massive old school
selection on Rephlex on DAT - no copyright'. Heh.
He also says that it's his last interview (again?) Two
Lone Swordsmen's forthcoming mini-album is called
"A Virus With Shoes" (Bill Hicks quote about humans,
apparently), the Broadcast new-album is done (did
anyone think having a track of theirs on the "Austin
Powers" soundtrack was supa-weird?), Boards
of Canada describe their new album (out spring 2000)
as "a huge psychedelic behemoth", haha. Oh, and
there's some cool anecdotes. And Steve Beckett
claims Warp will be an "Internet company" in 10 years
time. Interesting. Not an ISP I presume :)

Oh, and apparently there's a forthcoming Slut Smalls
(limited-edition 7-inch) Squarepusher exclusive, so
trainspotters had better watch for that one :)

Anyone heard the new Depth Charge? ("Bounty Killer
III") It's amazing how ahead him and DC Recordings
are still. Well, always have been. Didn't hear that single
yet tho. Aha, just found an advert in here, apparently
Depth Charge "Lust" CD/2XLP out 11th October, Depth
Charge "Lust 2" CD/2XLP out 15th November. Woohoo!
Is there a full DC Recordings discography out there
anywhere?

laaater,
h0l.
