sigma editions, australian label run by rosy parlane and dion workman
(ex-drone rockers with thela, now in parmentier). i've only heard the
parlane disk in passing, so i can't comment; the parmentier disc
("luxsound") has bits of pole, oval, sahko, etc. very stark, lots of
clicking and droning, minimal. i like it a lot (especially track 5),
but it could easily get on your nerves if you need the constant
stimulation provided by the the wAennabes out there. parmentier also
released a double 8" (ltd ed 100, i think) on crawlspace records when
they were still living in new zealand. big up the lathe cut mafia, son.

also helpful would be searching on the label "sigma editions" at
www.forcedexposure.com. pretty good, descriptive reviews there.

grip the love spigot,
[gr]
