Again, I apologize for the cross-posting.... Here's a brief playlist for Bleepbloop on 11/11/97 I think it's quite relevant to a few threads that have been diddling about, as I spun some gerd and funkstorung for those who haven't heard tracks by either. Oh, and the mp3 is already compressed and available. Check the site below for more details. Okay.... Pulusha "Isolation part one" (universal language) Alien Radio Station "Banging the Tank" (?) (don't know the label, but I've heard relatively justified comparisons to Scorn... decent outfit from Toronto.... dubby beats) Walt Disney's "The Black Hole" (Disney) Jega/Datathief "Kaya" (V/VM) (from the Priviledged Frames for Reference LP) Funkstorung "Tank" (Musik Aus Strom) (from the crunchy "Breakart" single... nice workout in distorted rhythms.... but not too dark) Gerd "Austaris Solalia" (universal language) (favorite track from the album.... smooth, flowing jazzy earcandy...) ? "First Heart Beat" (Schatrax) (Bought this a while ago offa some gentleman on IDM without a clue as to what I was getting. Don't regret it for a second. Clean, minimal techno from the UK....) Mulu "Pussycat (Kevorkian Dub mix)" (dedicated) (Most minimal 4/4 mix of the set... climbs up to a pleasant climax with lyrics after 5 minutes of clean Detroitish buildup. Yummy!) Tom Jenkinson "Whooshkie" (Nothing's Clear) (From his debut Stereotype EP. Acid-y breakbeats.) Pacman "Powerpill" (FFRR) Gescom "Push" (Clear) Wagon Christ "Glass World" (Rising High) (from his debut CD, Phat Lab Nightmare... dark ambient music that gets under your skin) Reload "The Biosphere (global comm. mix)" (Infonet) Gert Wilden "Madame und ihre Nichte" (Crippled Dick Hot Wax) (original music from the Schoolgirl Report films... err, cocktail kitsch from german softporn) See you next week! (I'll lay offa the 'send' button now for a while) Aaron ---------------------------------------------------- bleepbloop is radio show on: WRCT Pittsburgh, 88.3FM every tuesday from 4-6am (EST) @ http://www.wrct.org bleepbloop is a website! - http://tracie.res.cmu.edu all the bleepbloop shows are available in mp3 format
