The metalwork on the Banana is roomy inside. It makes a very
nice ground plane :)

For some reason the design queues on the Banana are very Oberheim'esque.

Synthesizer Studio Bonn (the legitimate Oberheim distributer for Germany) was
also the money or creative force behind the EEH Banana. (this info is from the
rumour mill so I may be wrong)

What I like about its physical shape and design is that all buttons and controls
are immediately above the keyboard.

This leaves the top to stack other gear or pedals, etc.

I understand why it is now out of fashion to design gear with large flat, empty
spaces. These tend to attract beer bottles, ash trays, keys and pizza slices...
but I still like this form.
