Robert Henke: Floating Point cd (imbalance 04) imbalance (full name: imbalance computer music) was formed by moritz "maurizio" von oswald in 1994 to release the more esoteric experiments of artists either associated directly with or close to basic channel/chain reaction. robert henke of monolake took the label over the following year while oswald focused on basic channel and chain reaction. in addition to two solo releases by henke (of which i have one, the excellent _floating.point_), imbalance has issued a cd apiece by weiland samolak (who has contributed to other chain reaction releases) and andi mellweg (of porter ricks). the label has been on hold since last year, while henke has focused on finishing up a second monolake album and waited for the right project to come along to jog imbalance back to life. there will be an in-depth interview with henke (as well as a review, with realaudio samples, of _floating.point_) in the next issue of urban sounds (http://www.urbansounds.com/), coming soon to a browser near you (no, really)... sc
