Why ? IDM is one of many musical genres existing. Not better, not worst.

To be honest I don't know. But if you allow me a little comment on the
sentence "I don't give a fuck about music of past", I'd simply say that
when you say such a thing I most deffinatelly will think you not only don't
know what you're talking about, but also you aren't aware of what you're
talking about.
Of course that you can like whatever you like, because of whatever reasons
you might invoke and that's fine with me. But that's a subject worth of
another thread and I'm not starting it.
Final words: Saying what you said (in my quote) is like saying: I don't
give a fuck about who my parents and grandparents are/were. I don't give a
fuck about them. I just want to know who I am, and enjoy being it.
Sad to say the least.
