On that note, I suspect I wasn't the only person on this list for whom any hope of drama in the end of 8MM was lost. When Nicholas Cage was walking up the stairs, and then it actually *shows* an Aphex Twin record, the whole concern about him getting murdered by "Machine" was just lost. That entire ending drama struggle bit was just doomed by the inclusion of silly Aphex songs. All I could think, as the wrassling went on in the mud outside that house was, "Ha. What gratuitous Aphex Twin usage." Although, I have to say that given the nature of the movie, I think "Funny Little Man" would have been a better track. ---- "There is no gang of 'intelligent techno' freaks here who break showroom windows to steal pocket calculators." - Jouni Alkio Jeff Pitrman [cCM] xxxx@xxxx.xxx http://bling.spof.net
