According to the tour page at the Thrill Jockey website
(www.brainwashed.com/thrilljockey), there'll be a couple of tour exclusive
releases available at the show - a Tortoise 7" and a CD collection of the
Tortoise remix 12"s that came out a year or so back. I'm guessing they'll
probably have some regular releases there as well (they did last time).

No-one, really. I can see that it mightn't work well live, but I'll
probably go anyway.

Which reminds me - to once again follow up on a couple of earlier messages
I've posted on this topic, Oval *is* going to be appearing at the make-up
dates at the end of the Tortoise tour after all. He's doing the first half
of the tour, leaving to do some shows with Jim O'Rourke during the second
half, and then rejoining for the last few dates. Info at the website
mentioned above.

Good lord, NO!!! They're absolutely horrible. Or so I've been told. On
record, they're relatively bearable goth-pop type stuff, but according to
my wife and several friends who caught them when some friends of our's
opened from them in Toronto a few months back, they were shite. Totally
mismatched to be opening for Numan, but that's the fault of the label,
Cleopatra.

I'm making a point of showing up late at the show in Toronto tonight so I
don't have to see them. For those who'd like to do the same, the official
Numan site (www.numan.co.uk) lists door times and on stage times for every
show on the tour.
