hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .... ok.....( i ) just got back from the funkstorung show at other music. wanna hear about it? ok nneeeeto....long line.....rain.......cold....... we were waiting on the records to arrive......chris and mike were already there without their vinyl.......they started spinning with some smooooov trax.......heres a bit of a recollection of songs......in kinda order....i recognized just about every track and it was killing me that i couldnt place em all.... :((( -autechre palm skin productions remix -a track from hab on dot records -shit...you know what this is too hard. i cant place em. hrm.... alot of older, harsher tracks with constant beats.....some older autechre - the song from one of the MASK records (200?) with the guy singing that sweetass vocal track -track 5 from EP7 -mixed into a track from the RICHARD DEVINE 12" ....fuck, this part blew the windows off the store and i nearly started to cry.....sooo beautiful -then a bunch of older hard trax... one with this strong building bass that was driving me nuts as well (that was near the beginning actually...) ----this went on for awhile (lost track of time) and then they just came to a dead stop in the middle of that last track. it was unsettling. alot of people showed up. alot of people were scared by the loud noises and left mid way. no one was sure at the end if it was over or if something had fucked up so the reaction was weak. they deserved alot more , but no one knew what the hell was going on. so the music stopped for a bit....then they went out onto the floor which was significantly more spacious since the beginning and started hanging out. (chris put on the tortoise ae rmx during this) these are two incredibly nice fucking guys. so few people were actually talking to them, it was weird......so i chatted with them both a bit about the mix and mike signed my aemic - beta 10" and wrote "enjoy it!".....the nicest guys ive met after putting on a show....really....he was laughing his ass off, great fun.....chris said "i cant believe how many people came to the store".....to which i replied "boy you have no clue do you?" funkstorung posters were given out.....some guy ripped mine out of my hand. im pissed and i really want one :~[ anyone got an extra i can maybe give em a few bux for? it was really fun to see the wanna-be-euro-girls get jiggy to richard devine. it was also fun to tell people outside on the street that we were all waiting for this eighties rock comeback band called funkstorung to hand out flags. such a great time. yeh. hmm.... hi. love. funkstorung. yeh. hi. hello. goodbye.
