Thanks for the reply, Fredrik. I have a feeling the SP-12 case is made from some kind of moulded resin, so maybe an epoxy fix would in fact be the best way to go. I wasn't sure it would be of use for holding screws as i've heard it can crack, but then for this specific application it's probably ok.
