Overall impression: not very Autechre like, similar noises but a lot more ambient. With regard to IDMness I dont think you could really dance to any of it apart from 'le shark', but thats not hard since its basically a collection of drum loops. it took me a while to get into it, but as with most stuff, repeated listens reveals a lot more I dont think I possess a release quite like this, and I find it enjoyable to listen to, so by my reckoning its very good BTW: I noticed the sound of the disc playing- the physical mechanism of the machine working- and its quite rhythmic in itself, ch-ch-ch-ch-trrrr. none of my home recorded discs sound like this when being played (apparently pre- recorded and rerecordables are constructed differently). player: sony mdsje510 -- Jameel Syed http://www.geocities.com/soho/9798/ ______________________________________________________________________________ 0C7F E831 BD47 176B 80B6 it was an act of self hypnosis, a deliberate drowning A70C 6265 FE45 1B46 894C of consciousness by means of rhythmic noise
