the new Wagon Christ album is so good.if you're a Vibert fan, like me
you won't be disappointed,he's on top form after how many albums is it
now? 5 or 6.this one,if we're comparing, is closer to Big Soup than
anything else but it still has it's own identity.it's an upbeat, happy
big smile on your face kind of affair.there is a Jean Jacques Perrey
vibe running right through the album too.favourite track at the moment
is probably "Fly Swat" a laid back hip hop sort of thing with loungey
bits or maybe the title track with it's EZ drum and bass meets Hawian
guitar. and there is a stupidly hilarious track called "juicy luke
vibert" which is him pretending to be a phone sex line person with the
rude words covered up by "comedy sex" noises that sound like they could
have come from a carry on film.it's really funny but like all comedy
tracks I'm sure after a few listens it will just be irritating.the single
"lovely" is wonderful, reggae rhythm and cheezy organ and synth sounds,

Nepalese Bliss, Mixmaster Morris' new single is really fine with decent
mixes by Filia Brazilia and Amin Tobin, the album version is excellent
but I think the bare stripped down mellowness of the DJ Food mix is the
best version. if the album is as good it will have been worth the wait.

the new Plone single is another good one.I loved the 7" they put out on
wurlitzer jukebox I had to buy a second copy 'cause the first one got
worn out.none of these tracks is as madly infectious as "press a key"
but still pretty lovely.there is something magically innocent sounding
about Plone.

oh..what do Komputer sound like? are they any good? anyone know?. I saw
there recent album for sale for 4 quid in Record and Tape Exchange and
wondered if it was up to much.I'm so skint these days that I can't even
take a chance on 4 quid :)
