Some of the first drum & bass I heard was from DJ Crystl on the _Counterforce_ compilation from '95. His two tracks "Let It Roll" and "Warpdrive (remix)" were some of the most brilliant (and saving) moments on that comp. -- lots of quick, cut-up and flanged beats with some nice sub-bass rolls (and no vocals to ruin it). Also on that comp. featured two tracks remixed by DJ Crystl. I've often wondered how his new stuff compares to this older stuff.
