Beyond on side A and Get Down To My Technique on side B. It's Hallucination Record's hal008. I wouldn't compare it to the old DynamixII, but it isn't bad. It's a bit saturated with effects and the distorted sound doesn't cut the mix (i.e. it's a bit overwhelming). The underlying beat is pretty good though. If they took a more minimal approach I think I could get into it more. It seems as though Scott Weiser and Todd Walker were trying to throw too much in there all at once. Personally I like all the Detroit Electro MUCH better. I'm also enjoying Carl A. Finlow and IF and the German electro (like Electrecord). I'd also recommend anything Selway is involved with. I can't speak for anything on Rephlex (DMX Crew) or Breakin'. I haven't heard it. As a matter of fact, this Jackal & Hide 12" is making me a bit wary of getting the Dynamix II. -rbc3
