Fuck, I hate to get in on this (as it was all started through some
pretty obvious flame baiting) but I've heard this come up several other
time so I guess it's ok. I've never considered Come to Daddy to be a
pisstake or some kind of comment on the prodigy. If anything on first
listen I thought it was a nod to industrial music and the sort of evil
satanic metal kids used to be so into in the eighties (and a pretty good
one at that). I actually like the track and think it's one of Richard's
more interesting experiments - trying to fuse the really out-there
rhythms that the twin and squarepusher are using these days with a good
old school guitar thunder thrashing. Also, he's tried to blend the two
elements together seamlessly and has thankfully avoided the full on
trainwreck of noise approach that Atari Teenage Riot have taken. Oh, and
it also has some great hooks and is quite catchy. If this is pop, give
me more...

pa Speaking of pop, anyone else out there into the new Spice Girls
single, Spice up Your Life? It has a great sound, thicker than
molasses.
