Microstoria's a lot more Oval than MoM, so I think it'd be worth your while checking them out. The scratched CD thing is, IMO, hugely over emphasised. I just think of it as skittery, although I guess there are tracks that sound genuinely like the CD is skipping in a fairly regular way.
