I just picked up the Lamb 12" with remixes by Bola, Photek, and Red Snapper, and the Bola remix is really nice. Not nearly as IDM as his work for Skam, it's much more a downtempo affair, churning and smoldering. The treatments on the vocals are especially effective. I can't quite get into the Red Snapper remix; the Photek is fine, but it's not jungle. Interesting to see Bola doing a remix. Remixing seems to be the way to get visibility these days, or at least to achieve "crossover" status (for underground artists to get on more mainstream radar). I don't think Funkstorung would have achieved their level of visibility without a slew of remixes under their belt, however dodgy (and, of course, without K7's marketing clout). I'm curious to see if he keeps doing more. phil
