CARPARK ACUTE AND PAW-TRACKS ANNOUNCEMENT
All of our titles are now available for purchase in the digital realm!
We've taken the big step, so please support us by visiting your favorite
online shop. You can find us at itunes, emusic, audiolunchbox, and many
others. happy downloading....

ACUTE
Glenn Branca's first solo release (from 1980) "Lesson No 1" is now out on
Acute. This is the first time these pieces have been out and about since
their initial release on 99 records. If that isn't exciting enough, we've
added a hard-to-find Branca piece called "Bad Smells" (written for Twyla
Tharp and featuring Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo) plus an 18 minute
quicktime video of "Symphony #5" from 1984. Superb liner notes by NYC
musician/writer Alan Licht and remastering by Flying Luttenbacher Weasel
Walter finish things off. You can get it now at our online shop at
www.acuterecords.com.

This July we reissue the long out-of-print Doctor Mix and the Remix
material as "Wall of Noise" (the name of their full length record on Rough
Trade). This spinoff of France's Metal Urbain features noisy covers of
classics by Bowie, Roxy Music, The Stooges, The Velvet Underground and many
more. We hear it's one of the Jesus and Mary Chain's desert island discs.

CARPARK
In August we release Signer's "The New Face of Smiling". New Zealand's
Bevan Smith (aka Signer) spent some time listening to his favorite indie
slow-jams (JOY DIVISION, MY BLOODY VALENTINE, Laughingstock-era TALK TALK
et.al) and decided he should make the first proper fuzzed-out pop gem of
the 21st century. SIGNER'S The New Face of Smiling chews on all of Bevan's
experience in indie bands and electronica and spits them back out into
something brand new yet somehow familiar. Those with a sense of humor can
call it "Nu-Gazing".

Signer will tour North America and Europe this Fall. We're looking for
tour partners so interested parties please get in touch!

Greg Davis returns home after a 3 week stint in Europe. With any luck
he'll be hitting the west coast later this summer. Hopefully we'll have
more on that next month.

Marumari is trying to finish up a new record for October release. Greg
Davis/Hrvatski duo and Casino Versus Japan releases most likely coming
early 2005.

PAW-TRACKS
The Animal Collective return from a month-long tour of Europe this weekend.
Once they settle in, we'll get to work on new Paw-Tracks releases for the
Fall such as Panda Bear "Young Prayer", the Paw-Tracks compilation, and the
Ariel Pink full-length. More release announcements should be forthcoming.
The tentative plan calls for a Black Dice/Animal Collective late summer
west coast tour. We also just ran out of Animal Collective t-shirts, but
hope to get some more made up sooner than later.

The Animal Collective's "Sung Tongs" (Avey Tare and Panda Bear) will be
released in North America by Fat-Cat on June 1st. The boys are also
working on a video for "Who Could Win a Rabbit?" off the new record.
