hmmmm.. i checked out aphex twin and autechre on a friends
recommendation... been hooked since, but, i've found that its led me *back* to
the more 'industrial' 'expiremental' roots i started at,,, recent music i've been
into includes david toop, vvm, farmers manual, coil (although coil has been an
interest of mine for over 10 ten years... just funny how it all led back there =),
shinjuku filth, p. schutze... all of this stemmed off from 'idm' for me, but the
music itself, quite often, seems more appropriately dubbed 'industrial' (at least
in my perception of the word, which has nothing at all to do with 99% of the
bands discussed on r.m.i....)

in the end, i prefer to just refer to music by the author... 'autechre are
autechre'... 'david toop is david toop'... i find this to be a much more acturate
discription of the music, but then does very little for a review, huh?
