Dear fellow beat-junkies, We got a Tommy Boy promo today at the station (WKPS 90.7 FM -- Penn State University) called "Greatest Beats". I also saw the add in Urb, so I guess it's coming out soon. The promo has Lessons 1-3 by Double Dee & Steinski. Does anybody know if it'll also be included in the 3X12 compilation coming out a little bit later? I really hope so. Either way though, I'm really glad that these classics tracks are being re-released for those of us who were too young to hunt down the original 12". I also know that Cut Chemist paid homage to those tracks by producing Lesson 4 and Lesson 6. I've heard both of those, but is there a Lesson 6? I've always wondered if he did them out of order or if I'm just unlucky enough to have never heard Lesson 5. Anybody have any info on that? Speaking of classic tracks being re-released, I really like the Hip Hop Don't Stop series. I have the first two but I'm having trouble locating the last one (volume 3) on vinyl. Does anybody know anywhere on the net/mail order that I might be able to score a copy of it? All leads are welcome... Take care everybody, Pedro Cevallos -- Be here now... http://www.cat.net/~cevallos/ _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
