I can't think of anything by Faust ever that I didn't enjoy. This is all
the esoteric singles I've got, the live tapes you can get from their
website, and so on. I just plain love it. There's no other music that
showed me as much about music organised by timbre as Faust's.
None of it's crap to me. Even the stuff I don't understand intrigues
me precisely because I don't understand it. I go into listening to
that band with no expectations because if I do, they're going to be
confounded, so I found I can enjoy it better if I just listen to it and
accept it at face value, and I'm learning for me that I can apply that
to any music at all, which might be half their point ....
