what can anyone tell me about richard thomas? i just picked up his "Lo Recordings Sample Disc" yesterday and i must say i am very impressed. i liked his tracks on the second invisible soundtracks comp. on leaf, but "Sample" is a different beast altogether. some of the most original sketchings-out of something like free-jazz electronica-funk i've heard. plus there's a killer beatless ambient track to boot! this is one of those all around great twelves i have absolutely no problem recommending to a whole range of tastes, since it cuts across so many simultaneously. thanks, sc onnow: freeform : elastic speakers (thanks miles!)
