Don't think anyone has mentioned ... Ui -- they're lots of fun ... put out an ep with Stereolab with remixes of St Elmo's Fire, if my mind serves me correctly. I only have one of their releases. Full-length bright white digipak with a bright blue puddle on the cover. First track, "Drive until He Sleeps" is wonderful. Beautiful bass. Very Tortoise-y i think. and . . The Dylan Group -- on Bubblecore Records. Very much like Tortoise as well. Less emphasis on percussion, and more focus on vibes and marimba-esque sounds -- fun covers of Aphex Twin's "We are the Music Makers" and Getz/Gilberto's "Girl from Ipanema" (also a cover of John Cage's "4:33" -- go figure...).
