Friends, Please excuse the slightly off topic post, but: I forgot to mention this on my last message. Mr. Mendez had a kick ass video behind him while he spun @ the Puerto Rico party. It was computer (de)generated and it morphed into a million different things -- really tripped out. Can anybody tell me what kind of software and hardware I would need to produce those kinds of images? I'm not really planning on doing it for profit, I just want to start experimenting with it and probably add it to my repertoire of skills. All leads are welcome. ON-TOPIC: Puerto Rico was an oasis for music. I went to a store called "La Gran Discoteca" in old San Juan. I was able to pick up the following CDs for a lot cheaper than I would have had to shell out in the USA: The Irresistable Force -- Global Chillage (Rising High/Astralwerks) The Irresistable Force -- Flying High (Rising High/Instinct) V/A -- FAX Compilation I (FAX/Instinct) V/A -- FAX Compilation II (FAX/Instinct) [I think these above might even be out of print already in the USA] DJ Spooky -- Necropolis: The Dialogic Project (Knitting Factory Works) Slowly -- Ming (Instinct Records) These are not new, but I haven't seen them in the US in quite a long time. I was also able to take home the following wax: Indo Aminata -- Leo Leo (Milano 2000) Remixes by Flytronix, Peshay, and Alex Reece DJ Spooky -- Synthetic Fury EP (Asphodel) DJ Kicks: The Black Album -- Rockers Hi-Fi (!K7) DJ Kicks -- Kruder & Dorfmeister (!K7) Peace, Pedro Cevallos -- http://www.cat.net/~cevallos/ _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
