Hello. Just thought I'd recommend the new Sneakster 'Splinters EP'. It appears to be a Clifford side-project (assuming he still intends to record as Disjecta and produce Mira Calix). I just happened to hear it in the record store I work at the other day, thought, "Hmm, this sounds a bit Seefeel-ish," and snapped it up. I only just looked at the inlay a few minutes ago and noticed Mark Clifford's name on there. Full details: artist :: sneakster title :: splinters ep label :: bella union cat :: bellacd11 tracks :: 1. splinters (4m49s) 2. fragment (2m36s) 3. twisted (5m06s) 4. broken (5m28s) Overall, interesting stuff. Definitely one for Seefeel fans. It's not as noisy or complex as Disjecta or Mira Calix, but it's still a lot darker and melancholic than Seefeel. The sound textures are perhaps a bit more straightforward and not as experimental -- don't go expecting anything radical here. It's still very intriguing and hypnotic though. An LP, 'Pseudo Nouveau' will be out on June 7th (same day as Autechre's 'EP7'). Robin Guthrie plays on a few tracks. If you have trouble getting hold of these Sneakster releases, try ordering them direct from Bella Union's web site. http://www.bellaunion.com -- /\/)ark headspin - http://www.sonance.demon.co.uk/
