well, first of all, it's probably cause all of the females like myself are on the digest ;) and when someone asks about duh questions like what is that song that has some girl saying "white fluffy clouds"? or the debate between cd's vs. vinyl, people on digest kinda wait it out until someone stands up and say, "the fucking song is called "white fluffy clouds"!" and i went to kraftwerk but everyone said stuff which i agreed with there was no point in posting... i'm not a scenster so i don't know how great or shitty a record is before it comes out, i don't have anything to trade or sell... there are a higher percentage of men that own computers than women, right? and there are like a couple hundred people subscribe to idm. but there are only like 10 people that post on a regular basis. out of those ten is irene and sometimes puckered1 so statistically, it's balanced in the percentage of each sex that post. also, for the whole rave scene or whatever, i know this from personal experience. if i wanted to go to see someone play at an event, if it's one of those palladium concert setting, i would have to go with either a bunch of girls or with a guy. it's really hard for me to go alone or even with another girl. it's just not safe to. especially in that area. especially raves which happen so late at night and god knows where it's at... but guys can just kinda get in their cars and go. one generalization i would like to make is that the men i've dated tend to buy more music than i do. most men like collecting stuff in general like i collect stuff like rocks from every state (but they got mixed up and i can't tell which rock is from which state), but that's besides the point, but i never got really hardcore about it while people i dated would rather be evicted but still get the latest 12". i think women are more hesitant about buying music. it's like how women try on a whole bunch of clothes or shoes before buying while men usually buy it off the rack. i need to hear the cd before buying it while my bf buys lotsa things just for the label it's on. sorry, i'm sleepy now so i'm just rambling on and on. i had a point in there somewhere, just read the post a couple of time and you'll find it. sincerely, the very deep and multi-faceted, lucy tohao nguyen >"yesterday is the past. >tomorrow is the future. >Today, today is a gift, >that is why we call it THE PRESENT" this quote is hilarious! just beautiful!
