The tracks "An Eagle in Your Mind", "Telephasic Workshop", and "Aquarius"
all have drug references in them, with AEIYM seeming to
be primarily pot oriented "didja smoke" "smoke pot" and "are you high?"
as well as "are you tripping" just recently I'm pretty sure "do it" is in
there several times as well. Telephasic to me seems primarily LSD oriented
with "LSD" "what's your condition?" and "psychedelic remix" being the
most discernable, though there is actually quite a lot in this track,
some of which I have guesses at but also plenty I don't. I used to think
track 6 was either about murder or rape with "whatcha gonna do?" "you
know what" "get offa me!" as well as a few more I can't think of off the
top of my head, in addition to the overall ominous tone. A friend
thought where I heard "whatcha gonna do?" it sounded like there was
another layer that said "why is everybody tripping?" Track 12 only has a
few, but to me one is very easy to hear, "tripping" and "LSD" which to
me is the neatest sound effect on the whole album. You know that last
echoey sound that repeats something like 4 or 5 times, if you listen to
it carefully you might notice that they've somehow layered LSD, at a
couple different speeds to create what sounds like a tone essentially.
Track 14 also has some minor stuff in it including "boards of canada"
but there's also something that sounds like "I wancha, I wancha, I
gotcha" in there as well.
I accidentally deleted the post about the difference between subliminal
and phasing so I don't have the exact wording, but I do agree to some
extent as subliminal messaging would seemingly have more direct commands,
as well as the fact that since it's something audio, and that one can be
aware of, it's not entirely unconscious. On the other hand, most people
still aren't aware of it, and even if I were to post the track time for
specific words, some people on here still wouldn't hear it. Also, the
research on subliminals is pretty inconclusive about it's efficacy, but
one thing that has been found is that the trigger for a certain reaction
may not work as a direct command. Supposedly when someone tried to
test James Vicary's claim that flashing "drink coke" and "eat popcorn"
resulted in a significant increase in sales, (this was later proved to be
quite exaggerated), many of the new test subjects who were shown "buy
popcorn" got thirsty and went and got a drink of water.
