i think that 3/4 is a criminally underused time signature in modern (electronic) music, or using 8th note triplets in either 3/4 or 4/4 i feel it has a kind of in built-groove which is sadly lacking in a lot of electronic stuff...its not too experimental..but wtf... doesnt answer any questions, i know...but its something that i just needed to share.. thanks martin mtc> I was wondering in my own work...Do the composers which use mtc> more experimental sounds in their works like Authechre and Aphex Twin always use mtc> common time signatures 4/4? Experimental beats mtc> based on experimental sounds, especially the way people like mtc> authechre use them don't really lend much utility to traditional time mtc> signatures. mtc> I personally use 4/4 most of the time and make up my own measures. mtc> Anyone do similiar things? mtc> Michael %
