Excerpts from mail: 26-Apr-99 (idm) Stardust by xxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxx.xxx > Does anyone know if Stardust has plans for an album, or if it'll just be > that single? Thanks. As far as I know, there's no album planned.... Stardust was a one-off project by Thomas Bangalter one-half of Daft Punk. It was originally released as a 1-sided 12" on his own label, Roule. There was a 2x12" of remixed released a while ago, but I never picked it up. Thomas Bangalter has done a number of other solo records on Roule, like the two Trax on the Rocks 12"'s, and Spinal Scratch (never heard that one).... along with remixes of Roy Davis Jr. and Vertigo on Roule. It's all great stuff..... Also, there's a nice Thomas Bangalter remix of another clubby house track with Jane Fonda samples called "Gym and Tonic" on Bob Sinclar's full-length album, "Paradise." The original was (I believe) a collaboration between Bob Sinclar and Thomas Bangalter released using the name "Spacedust" on Warner UK.... coincidence? And who says this isn't IDM related? I know Colongib is a closet Stardust fan.... :) Aaron
