Hi Flavio, I've experimented with longer USB 2 cable lengths in the 20 meter range. I got sick of unracking the Lumagen Radiance Pro upscalers and dragging them over to my PC just to upgrade the firmware on every few months (I don't have a modern windows PC laptop handy). So I bought a 20 meter Tripplite cable that I run from my PC to them and can flash the firmware on them from afar now. I run the USB cable from the PC, under the high traffic front door, past multiple wall power outlets, into to my highfi setup. I haven't truly tested the USB throughput on the cable yet, and I do drop the transmit rate below max rate just to ensure the flashing process goes smoothly. But so far so good - I've flashed firmware 10 or 20 times now without issue. Tripp Lite USB 2.0 Hi-Speed Active Extension Repeater Cable (A M/F) 20 Meter (65-ft.) I need a longer USB cable, but AFAIK the max. USB 2.0 cable length is limited to 5m and this is for sure not enough. > > Any thoughts?
