>In that case show her Bjork's Volumen DVD. Of the 7 or 8 videos I've seen >of hers over the years some have impressed me and some have left me cold, >but taken together the 14 (!!!) or so pieces are nothing less than >remarkable. I have. Wish Alarm call was on it. Joga and Possibly Maybe are my two favorites. Joga: great play on emotional landscapes and probably the most interesting non-chris cunningham video i've seen in years. Possibly Maybe: I love Stephane Sednaoui's photography (Tricky's "tricky Kid and PMT, Robbie Robertson's "Underworld of Redboy"), so to see a video by him was cool. The point where bjork's box just falls back through the screen took the emotional climax of the song and cubed it. mmmhh... Stephane's also done a cool video for Garbage's Milk. BST, which i thought was so cool the first time i saw it really sucks now. Boring, bjork being silly on a flatbed truck in NYC. And i don't like the fluke mix. Wait, the credits say Stephane did this one, too? well, he's much better now. Though a number of directors are involved Michael Gondry is the >staple turning in the most and best work from beginning to end. For me his >work gets better and better with the later stuff (Bachelorette and Joga) my >favorites. He and Bjork are a completely winning creative partnership. > >Brad > > _________________________________ Adam Roesch / xxxxxx@xxxxxxxx.xxx Augsburg College / Minneapolis / MN / USA Visit my Fila Brazillia/Pork Recordings fan site: http://dogbert.augsburg.edu/~roesch/pork/ "The only disease we need in our blood is love" TRICKY
