Giorgio's probably most well known to techno bods
for his production of Donna Summers' 'I Feel
Love', but he's done lots of dodgy soundtracks,
and worked with other pop acts like Blondie and
David Bowie (well, Bowie sang on one of his
soundtrack bits).

Early OMD is pretty cool, IMO. You have to like
their 80s synthpop vocals and maudlin lyrics, etc,
but they had quite an adventurous, and warm sound.
It seemed to be after 'Dazzleships' that they just
went all out on the pop front... before then they
hadn't discovered so-called "good production" and
even had some musique concrete instrumentals, etc.
Hearing them in more recent interviews, they seem
pretty disparaging of those days as just being a
bunch of funny noises, so it may all have just
been a product of their lack of resources more
than anything more intentional.
