Maybe I'll listen to that thing again sometime. On The Fall's tracks "Australians in Europe" (86) or "Crew Filth" (94?) or "Bonkers In Phoenix" (97?)... things are similarly cut-up, mixing in some dialogue over the music (ridiculously different volume, cuts in, noise from handling the mic, coughing, etc) or the music cuts out to a filtered walkman-sounding recording for some inexplicable reason and at the strangest time. The only rules being that things are kept unpredictable. I think it is just really funny, and having heard "Bonkers..." from a year before 0161, I found "powderkex" was no suprise, as I couldn't imagine their straight-ahead rock stuff on this compilation... BTW, i actually stumbled on the little yamaha porta-keyboard they used the presets for on Crew Filth... Solenoid
