On Mon, 18 Jan 1999, Paddy Groooooove asked: > Grooving away here to HAT (Atom Heart/ Haruomi Hosono / Tetsu Inoue), > I'm wondering if any of these artists has recorded anything similar. Do > I remember something about a Hat2? Yeah, _DSP-Holiday_ came out last June as a Japanese-only release on Daisy World. > I tend to think of this as mainly Atom Heart, but I've been less > impressed with his other projects that I have (admittedly few) - VSVN, > Senor Coconut, Second Nature. Can anyone recommend anything as funky > and beepy as HAT? Hm... sounds like you'd probably dig the more recent Rather Interesting releases. _Naturalist_ and _Dropshadow Disease_. They've got more robot chirping blipping clicking weirdness than HAT, but also the same amount of cheese. I don't like the new HAT that much though. Happy happy Hawaiian/Polynesian yuck yuck. Ugly picture sleeve too. Buy it now. Wow, so you didn't like the Senor Coconut? Um well, as funky and beepy... have you tried any Lisa Carbon? Harry Hosono's stuff on Daisy World? Keep an eye out for the _Pop Artificielle_ album by Lassigue Bendthaus on Kk in March. The _Jealous Guy_ single from it comes out on February 8th. Oh, and _:)_ is this month's RI release... not out yet though. When's Flanger again? This is the one I'm looking forward to. Uwe Schmidt and Bernard Friedman. Single on Ntone in February. enotn. .`-). | ; christopher miller o o' xxxx@xxxxxxx.xxx = ' on: _The Engineers Love_
