Andrew Duke :) Innerzone Orchestra ? 1999 Live Debut Innerzone Orchestra will be debuting its 1999 live show as part of New York City’s Central Park Summerstage series opening for South African trumpeter Hugh Masakela on Saturday, June 26. This incarnation of the Orchestra includes the enigmatic Blakula (aka Carl Craig), pianist Craig Taborn, Francisco Mora on drums, DJ Recloose on tapeloops and turntables, and Lacksi-Daisy-Cal on rhymes and freestyle science. DJ Recloose will also be making his New York DJ’ing debut at this momentous event. For more information on this and other Summerstage events, check out their website at www.summerstage.org. Astralwerks will be unleashing Programmed on an unsuspecting American public on CD August 24th in the US only. Community Projects Loads of people have been asking about our new Jazz label, Community Projects. Innerzone Orchestra drummer Francisco Mora’s album World Trade Music will be the first release on the label and will be released in September. Already jazz aficionado Patrick Forge has been singing this album’s praises, playing it weekly on his radio show in London. The second CP release is a joint release with Planet E, a custom packaged, limited edition (1000 worldwide) domestic 180g-audiophile vinyl pressing of Programmed, the debut album from Innerzone Orchestra. This will be released August 10th. We will be offering a very limited amount of copies for sale through our website, which will be specially customized by the members of the Innerzone Orchestra. More details as it gets closer. Planet E Merchandise We’ve been threatening this for some time now and we are finally in the process of finalized it now. Planet E will gradually be making available to the public a variety of label merchandise; t-shirts, sweatshirts, record bags, slipmats, and some nifty limited edition stuff that you have come to know and covet over the years (Who’s got their ‘69’ Basketball Jersey? Or the "Elements…" frisbee? Or the Paddleball?). The first piece we are making available is the very cool Innerzone Orchestra tee shirt, designed by the same talents who did the art for Programmed. These shirts will only be available initially at Innerzone Orchestra gigs around the world (where venues allow). We will be able to make them available soon through our website, along with the rest of the Planet E merchandising line. Stay tuned for more details. Upcoming Releases Common Factor ? "Piseces Groove" 12" (Also features a remix of the Common Factor hit "Get Down" remixed by Cross Section Records’ Chris Simmonds) Recloose ? Spelunking EP. The follow-up to the acclaimed So THIS Is The Dining Room. See Recloose on tour as part of the Innerzone Orchestra band… A still-to-be titled CD compilation of out-of-print, classic, and soon-to-be classic tracks from the Planet E vaults.
