sorry for the minimal idm content... i just recently had to get my cd player's laser realigned (at great cost, around $80 total, which was probably too much...) anyway, i was wondering if there are any precautions i can take to help ensure the life of my cd player... if i have to get the laser aligned again i'll almost be exceeding the cost of the unit. my system has been moved around a lot, moving in and out of school and things like that, but other than 4-6 times a year it never moves. i know most dj decks have a locking mechanism to lock the laser in place to help against damage, so part of my problem may be that my system's been moved a lot. so my question is: is there any way i can help prevent damage? basically i am going to HAVE to move my system quite a distance at least four times a year, moving in and out of school. there's nothing i can do about this. is there something i can do while moving it to help prevent/minimize damage? my cd player is my lifeblood, and living without it for any length of time is a painful thought... thanks for any help... j.
