I've just been offered a *paid* DJ gig (can't stop giggling) :
a photographic exhibition is opening tomorrow evening, and it will 
be from about 7pm-11ish (with a break for speeches).

I've been directed to make it "MixMaster Irene" rather than "DJ 
Kicks Freek Funk Irene" and to keep it loungey with a specific 
slant to 'make them get their wallets out' :-))

Any suggestions? (otherwise I'm going to stick to trip hop, ha ha).
Do any of you 'do' non-dance background atmosphere events?  Any 
guidelines would be heftily appreciated.  There'll be no pyrotechnix, 
and I'll be working off the Pioneer twin CD decks (sorry wax purists).

Hyper excitedly getting together my box of goodies ... and I think 
I'll be leaving Steve Stoll at home.
