just thought i'd let you know that i thought the mr. angry remix on
mealtime was one of the worst muziq tracks i've ever heard. the other
muziq track(s) on mealtime were the other worst - one of them was
decent. he took the old mr. angry and sped it up to junglish speed,
added a lot of retrigs and (this to my ears is the most awful part)
porta'd up and down the pitch of the (usually cool) snare he used in
those old tracks. it just sounds horrible and entirely uncreative.. i
don't like his direction of the mealtime comp - everyone sounding
quite alike in their 'fungle/drillnbass' or whatever it's called,
using the same retrig-and-fade-out-and-then-fade-back-in junk too
often. there is not much care in most of these tracks imo (horse
opera, afx, and a few others are nice on this comp, and jega is decent).
