I just wanted to say that i have really liked alot of
the techno/electronic music coming from both LA and SF
lately.

The new Kit Clayton - The Mimic and The Model is
really cool!! I have no idea if the name "The Mimic
and The Model" refers to the project name or the name
of the ep. I don't even know what the name of the
label is because it doesn't say. I do know that Kit
Clayton did the music and it's the best stuff i have
heard from him.

He has also released some stuff off the Cytrax label,
which i think is pretty good also. I just got Cytrax
08 which has some tracks with Jasper and Kit Clayton.
Good stuff.

I also picked up Stewart S. Walker's single on the
Belief System (005..I believe). Also pretty cool. I
see that he has just releases a single on the Mosquito
label, i expect that stuff to be a little crazier and
harder. Look forward to hearing it.

And finally Suketh, I believe he runs the Belief
System label. He has released some fine stuff on both
the Drop beat and Belief System labels. Good minimal
techno.

And n the drum n bass tip, I heard an artist Tom B. I
think he is originally from the St Louis area. I
thought his single on the label Intelligent was pretty
good for US drum n bass. I'm not that impressed with
most US drum n bass because it usually falls short
production wise of the UK d n b. Plus, alot of the US
stuff tries to add more hip hop influences. For those
reasons, i prefer UK and German drum n bass. But for
US stuff the Tom B is pretty good.

P.S. Anyone in the LA area should definitely go to the
Crosswires event featuring a live set from Divine
Styler, and djs John Tejada and Anthony Shakir. Don't
miss this! If you need more info check the So Cal IDM page.
