>Milano 2000 is an offshoot of the Ishtar label. Italian clubs seem to be characterised by beautiful people and horrid music things are changing i think cos i played in milan with da ninjas and it was good The most interesting stuff on the electronic front seems to the label Archive run by Enrico - he puts out all kinds of stuff from Nu Era to Theo Parrish ... Now he's got a very on-topic record which is FUTURE BEAT ALLIANCE actually I think the guy is from Oxford whatever it's a fine record esp track 3 which sounds like Plaid on a good night >> . Quite good stuff from Bologna too, hometown of Irma Records, >> purveyor of quality (but also lesser quality) lounge, easy listening and >> d'n'b stuff. They do a lot of good stuff which you never see here I just got an old CD, GLOBEAT a really good compilation of strange grooves from round the world There must be a big loungecore scene somewhere in italy cos loads of records are coming out apparently there is no word for copyright in the italian language .... I'm off to Rome tomorrow so I'll tell you if I find anything good mixmaster morris np : PLAID rest Proof Clock Work LP yum yum INNERZONE ORCHESTRA - Programmed (Talkin Loud) IAN O BRIEN - Gigantic Days (Peacefrog) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A SITE FOR SORE EARS - The Mixmaster Morris Homepage http://www.southern.com/MMM/ NINJA TUNE RECORDINGS- http://www.ninjatune.net NEW WWW : http://come.to/mixmastermorris ICQ no . 28424946 new single : POWER remixes from JIMPSTER,PLAID, FREDERIC GALLIANO, etc out April on Ninja Tune ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
