Just noticed that most people who sent in lists had a fair amount of US industrial stuff listed which I thought was interesting - shows how the IDM readership has really shifted from a UK/European base (when we used to talk about things like The Orb, Rephlex, A.R.T. and Detroit influenced techno with only guys like Jon (Drukman) and Greg banging on about industrial stuff) to now where its more US based. Seem to talk about more experimental stuff nowadays as well - presumably thats everyones kind of industrial influences coming through and being into CD's skipping and wotnot. I used to know almost all the bands/artists mentioned on IDM a few years back but I certainly don't now. This shift is no bad thing at all - just something I just noticed. Detroit techno and ambient stuff doesn't really get a mention any more but thats due to 313 and Ambient lists forming I guess. I think I had a point - blame my hangover. || [CiM] || xxx_@xxxxxxx.xxx || - ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
