picked up a few new records when i was in Stockholm this weekend (short =
comments because i haven't had the time to listen to them much yet):

Airgoose - Programmable Rhythmer - Different Drummer - 12"

i've been looking for this for like 3 years now and at last this record =
has landed in my record collection. sounds a bit like Sie, except maybe =
more abstract. the reason why i decided to look for this 12" was the B1 =
track 'That Was No Martian'. it's sooo gooood!

Aprilheights - We Haven't Got A Clue - Audio Pollution - 2x12"

surprised to find this in the old electronica-bin, especially since i =
didn't even knew it even existed, at least it shouldn't since it's a =
promo of an album which was never released (APLP 02). it has a dark =
sound which could be described as putting Tupilaq, Plastikman's "Musik", =
AFX's finest moments and some of Speedy J's "Public Energy #1" in the =
blender. very, very good!

Arovane - s/t - Din - 12"
Arovane - Icol Diston - Din - 12"

best god damn IDM i've purchased in a long time! beautiful crunchy =
tracks with lovely melodies and there are 0 fillers - this is all good =
stuff! get these!

Metamatics - Dayglo Tinsel - District Six - 12"

the above comments works fine for this one too, i think.

Tupilaq - Volver EP - Dot - 12"

a Krister Linder release on Dot which i never could get my hands on when =
it first came out since the local recordstore only held one copy in =
stock. remixes from Kid Loops and Floppy Sounds or something like that. =
the record only says DOT 1201 TEST PRESSING, so what do i know. i heard =
the Floppy remix would be all beautiful and shit but this record has the =
crummy d'n'b remix on B1 and a 4/4 remix on B2. maybe this test pressing =
has another remix?

the Stockholm event Induktor which was held at V=E4xtverket, Brommaplan =
was pretty fun, atleast for me who did a fun performance of new material =
say 40 minutes of tricky, abstract and sometimes melodic IDM and 40 =
minutes of chaotic noises and microphone yadda yadda. later on me, M =
(Marcus Wrang=F6) and InSine (Thomas Anders=E9n) did an improvised =
layered noise-performance using some of my dark noisy ambient from my =
Phthalo demo in the background and mixing it with everything from Dr =
Broxburn to the sounds of the Stockholm subway and some sampler scraps =
and pad percussion. it was a blast!

DJ Solidst8 started the main floor moving with his US stuff incl various =
breaks, electro, and chicago house records. a lot of fun for the 2 hours =
it lasted, and i danced through the entire set. very different from what =
is usually played (p*trance and hard-as-nails techno) at swedish raves =
and clubs. Hardcell and Pratap put on their usual hard techno records =
and i guess the crowd dug it but i don't know because i was upstairs in =
the chill out area playing records and noises all night. mr Lekebusch =
called in sick the night before the organisers had to find another dj, =
and since neither Mull or Dahlbaeck could be contacted they called DJ =
Ego, who played the hardest set i've heard from him ever!

only 200 people arrived so the organisers were really slapped in the =
face economically. fucken Lekebusch to cancel on them like that. :(

but i had a lot of fun anyway.
