i highly recomend everybody that can get to the palace of fine arts tonite,
GO THERE!! do not miss this. i've been going to these refests ever since the
first one years ago, when it started out as just a small prsentation of
electronic music videos shot with high resolution graphics, animated clips,
even some live videos too. it was so small when refest started that the
first year they couldn't afford to rent out theatre/hall so they had it at
the minna street gallery, and if you've ever been there in SF, then you know
it's not a place really big enough for any screen, then put up a what looked
like a temp. screen and shot it from a projecter in the back by the bar...
well either way, since then they've moved up to getting the palace of fine
arts to host it for them. also, if somebody is looking for a job in graphic
design, it's the perfect place to go, all the big names in computer graphic
design are gonna be there tonite showcasing their newest software and
hardwar before the actual show.
in the past they've shown videos from aphex twin, autechre, dj spooky, meat
beat manifesto, space time continuum, orb, etc.

but this year they have new autechre vid, AND their first ever squarepusher
vid, which i heard was directed by chris cunningham. damn, that should be
interesting. either way. go.
im gonna be the kinda short brown guy with short black and yellow hair. and
im going there after work so i won't be changing and im wearing a orange
t-shirt. say hi to me. please.

and remember, a bad transfer corona wire will never do you any good, unless
you like faded spots in your copies.

i am a copier.
                                           we are not all copiers.

Caught the below happening on the SFRaves list...
Anyone know offhand if the 'Cinema Electronica' is simply the
name given to the showing of these videos or if this is a collection
possibly available on videocassette (or a released movie of sorts)?

Anyhow, Bay Area idmers may want to take note or may not....>
